Gas mileage devices - The ScanGaugeI is a 3-in-1 automotive trip computer, 12 digital gauges in single small package, and a diagnostic scanner tool. It connects easily to your car’s On-Board Diagnostic (OBDII) port and conveying directly with the car’s computer.
Not sure if your vehicle employs OBDII or Controller Area Network(CAN)? The computer will automatically decide which system to use and change to it. The ScanGaugeII operates on 1996 or newer OBDII cars including gas, diesel, propane and hybrid vehicles as well as vehicles with the latest CAN systems. The detachable wire allows for easy transfer between multiple vehicles. No tools are needed for setting up and its menu-driven operation implies that there’s no need to memorize complex sequences.
Scan Tool
The ScanGaugeII includes a diagnostic scan tool that can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), clear the codes and turn off the “Check Engine” light on 99% of 1996 and modern vehicles. The ScanGauge will indicate how many DTCs are discovered as well as the codes themselves. Then you can use the Internet or repair instructions to determine which is the failed part is so you can restore it yourself or know what needs to be repaired at the auto mechanic shop.
12 Digital Gauges
The ScanGaugeII can aid in determining fuel consumption rates letting you to set driving behavior and save gas. At the same time, keep an eye on engine speed, coolant temperature, and much more in real time. If there is a young driver in the house or friends take up your vehicle, the ScanGaugeII can register speeds of up to 158 mph and save the info for you to view later on so you will know just how fast your young driver or friend was moving last night. You’ll recognize if the computer was unplugged: An indicator will be presented in the trip data.
Gauges include:
-Vehicle speed (MPH)
-Engine Speed (RPM)
-Manifold Pressure
-Intake Air Temperature
-Engine Load
-Battery Voltage
-Throttle Position
-Coolant Temperature
-Ignition Timing
-Fuel Economy
-Fuel Rate
Personalize It
A large, high-contrast LCD display makes viewing the information easy and both the display and buttons are backlit and can be set to off, low, or high. The ScanGaugeII can be easily customized to befit your style with 63 possible colors, tank trip information, user settings, vehicle settings that are automatically saved, and up to 10 user commands that can be saved and recalled.
Trip Computer
4 sets of information are automatically stored on the trip computer: Current, Today, Previous Day, and Tank Trip. The “current” trip begins after the engine has been off for more than 3 minutes. The “today” trip begins after the vehicle has not ran for 9 hours and the information from “today” is moved to “previous day” when you start the vehicle so you don’t have to reset the computer every time you start a trip. “Tank trip” resets when you fill up the tank. It can provide you with “to empty” information and other useful info which can be looked at any time during your travel.
